Introduction

You should take this survey if:
You belong to the scientific or editorial team of a peer-reviewed journal.

Aims of the study:
To investigate how journal editors handle submissions that need language or writing-quality editing both from multilingual (non-native) speakers or first-language manuscripts that are not up to journal standards.

Once the survey is complete a team of scholars associated with EASE (the European Association of Science Editors) will review and analyze the results. This will be followed up with an article on the subject in 2021 to share the collected data with journal editors worldwide.

Scope:
The survey specifically targets journals published in English (exclusively, or non-exclusively).

Instructions:
To obtain a comprehensive analysis of language editing policy, we structured the survey questionnaire in short sections:

A. Language services provided by journals
B. Language quality control
C. Interaction with non-native writers
D. Relationship with external editing services
E. Journal details

The questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

We commit to the highest level of data protection and confidentiality with all of your information. By completing the survey, you consent to send the details therein for review. Thank you for your contribution and don't hesitate to contact Avi if you have any questions: avi@aclang.com
